Where has the year gone?

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone, can you? It’s almost 2022, huh?

As many of you have already realized, I haven’t been in a mental state of ability to inspire others. This was mainly due to Covid and I am sure that it has affected you in some way

I often fail to underestimate my ability and it will often show.

At the beginning of 2020 I took on a new position. A few months later I started seeing coworkers get promoted and they were hired before me. This of course didn’t bother me.

But then a few months later more coworkers were promoted and at least one of them were hired after me. I was a bit irked by this but I held my head high.

But then it happened again and again and again and again and again and again.

This was a total of 8 times of being overlooked for a promotion. I was fearing discrimination. I had 20+ spotlights, a masters degree in forensic accounting, advanced certification for the Quickbooks proadvisor. A few months ago I earned the CFE credential From what I know about the coworkers that were promoted they didn’t have quite the portfolio of education or qualifications.

I wrote the VP Of the company with my concerns and that got the ball rolling. In the past two months I was transferred to the clean up sku and changed teams three times with the last time being the senior manager putting me on a team where she knows I will succeed. This new manager has quickly realized my potential and this is awesome!

Have you ever felt something was wrong and took the steps to resolve it?

So this has been quite a year from getting a boy friend who wants marriage too hard and it overwhelmingly attached to me to getting the attention of the VP that something is seriously wrong here.

Now that we are in the last Month of 2021 how are you finishing up your goals for the current year?
