I wanted a donut

So I drove several miles to donate blood.

Have you ever been tempted to do something that can be seen as extreme?

Maybe someone offered you the latest Harry Potter book that wasn’t out yet if you drove 300 miles to deliver this package.

Or maybe your employer offered you a $2 raise with some extreme job duties such as helping others with bungee jumping.

Or maybe you neighbor gave you a coffee for mowing their lawn.

Or maybe you did something just because it was the right thing to do and you got something in return.

Life is full of choices and opportunities! We live a fuller life by doing the right thing to the best of our abilities.

Earlier this week I had heard a blood drive that was happening today. When I got up this morning I really didn’t want to get out of bed.

However I was tempted by the mention of By The Dozen Bakery Donuts and so I got up and ready to go. I drove the 23 minutes to the blood drive for a donut. 🙂 and to help.

Did you know that you can’t travel out of the US or Canada for a minimum of 3 years? There are some exceptions of course and I was able to get my donut after my donation.

There’s a Dunkin’ within 5 minutes of my house and they have donuts.

Are you taking advantages of the choices and opportunities given to you?
