I spent pretty much the whole day yesterday excited about being able to pedal 20 plus miles not once but twice in the last week.
We spend a majority of our lives working to improve ourselves no matter how hard we think we try.
We rest so our bodies can recharge overnight.
We work to improve our financial situation and to keep most of the skills we have acquired active such as professional development and technology use such as Microsoft Excel.
We fail at something only to realize the faults and work on them for the next time.
We work on building relationships with others to improve how we are seen in the world.
However with each couple steps forward we can expect to take a step backwards.
And this is okay.
It will only make you stronger for the next time around.
It will show you ways to cope with it.
Ways to improve the situation.
Ways to just make you feel better about yourself.

Later in the evening yesterday my knees were feeling weak. I woke up at 0230 in excruciating pain in my left knee. I can’t bend it far without hurting much.
Getting up is a challenge today.
It sucks but I know it will get better soon and it will make me a better cyclist.
2 steps forward and 1 step backwards.
How are you improving your struggles from yesterday today?

This post is incredibly amazing. Such an insightful reminder that it’s alright to take a step back, if you are feeling exhausted. Thank you for sharing this. I will be looking forward to your future writings. More strength and power to you.
