Seasons

i-can-and-i-will-quote-1

Seasons change

Times fly

The friends and people around you changes

dreams and aspirations grow!
But one thing for sure is that I am still me with my mom, my stepdad, and all of my siblings. I am surrounded by many family members, cousins, aunts, uncles, and grand parents. I am also surrounded by my dad who is watching me from heaven along with his dad, a good friend Eric, and the little sneaky dog but cute Tiffany!
During high school I shocked mom and ray when I came over to tell them I joined the Navy. I was going to be a Nuclear Engineer!
A few months later I had decided that I really didn’t want to go away for 8 years so I switched to the Army National Guard as military police. That probably was a great idea now that I think of it.
Almost a year after getting back from training I was involved in a car accident involving me and a school bus. Simply put doctors had given me little chance of surviving let alone living a productive life!
Well I hate to say it but they were wrong! Before this I had wanted to be a math teacher. With my injuries that really wasn’t possible so I discovered Accounting and excelled at it! I got my AS Accounting with a 3.98 GPA only to go on to get my BS Accounting with a 3.98 GPA. I wasn’t done yet and went on to get a MS Forensic Accounting Degree with a 3.93 GPA.
After getting that I didn’t know what I would dream for. Getting a job was like finding a needle in a haystack. However I found that needle and landed an awesome job! Come to think of it, I almost turned it down 😦
But my heart was still going. Sure the job filled my time but it didn’t make me happy. after going to a military paracycling camp where I tried to handcycle (don’t even ask how that went), coach Jim introduced me to the trike and the first trike rider Steve. This seemed to good to be true! Trikes are expensive and at the time I was not working!
This is why I am glad I stuck with the military. I may not have served overseas but I signed up willingly to go! Salute Inc has been very generous along with CAF!
And then the gym. I have an awesome trainer, Carl and without him I don’t think I would be where I am today! He has been with me since September 2014 to help me prep for my races.

My story is just beginning and I can’t wait to see how it ends up!
