The weather is messing with me!

How’s everyone’s schedules?

I know some of you don’t live in the midwest but for those that do have you noticed a change in your activity level?

The change in weather effects our abilities to be outside, be social, and be productive in our lives.

This can be minimal for most but for some people it affects more.

I must be one of those people and it is very frustrating. It’s not safe for me to be outside in this weather as well as the amount of ice (there is an ice rink in my driveway).

Because of that I am stuck inside and not able to travel far to hang out with people and to be productive.

Lately I haven’t been able to do more than 15 miles in a single ride. I am waiting for the day where I can reach 35 miles again!

How does the weather affect you? Are you doing what you can do with it?

  1. It has been the hottest January on record here in Melbourne, Australia – regularly above 95 and 100 (F) or 35 and 40 (C).. this kind of searing heat just makes me want to hide inside in the cool and dark! This week, we have our first week for over 6 weeks where there is not a 30(C) + day. Whilst we still get hot days into March, I am glad to see a stretch of cooler ones! It makes me feel like I can actually do a bit more instead of just avoiding any activity that is going to make me hotter or force me into the sun!

    1. You should come to the midwest US, normally around 30 degrees farenheit this time of year. Windchills have been in the negatives.

  2. I can’t even *imagine* those temperatures! I *would* love to do the whole White Christmas thing one day.
