Automation?

We live in a world where many things can be automated.

We have a Keurig for coffee cups.

We have automatic doors in buildings.

We have automatic soda dispensers.

We have automatic soap dispensers.

We have automatic transmissions.

We have ATM’s (Automatic teller machines)

And we have cruise control.

I’m sure there are many other automatic things but the list would get long.

Is being automatic a good thing? Is there the possibility that something will go wrong? How can we tell?

We need to be prepared in any situation. Being automatic can be a good thing but we first need to understand the overall process.

I used cruise control on my car tonight, it probably one of the few times that I have used it on this car, if not the only time! It was nice to be able to not have to worry about keeping steady pressure on my foot; which allowed me to be able to concentrate on the road more.

But is being automatic a good thing? It could have slipped potentially causing me to get hit. Thankfully I didn’t but you understand the point here.

Is being automatic a good thing?
