Temptation

We are tempted by everything around us, everyday it seems like.

But is it always a good thing to give in to temptation?

That chocolate bar on your table is staring you down, should you give on? What’s one little bite going to do?

Before you know it, the whole thing was gone and now it is time to eat dinner. You are full but manage to eat a little bit.

But then hours roll by and you are hungry again. Do you give in to this temptation?

What may seem like a small temptation may turn it to a magnitude of temptations resulting from it.

Here I am balancing the books and I am $48.89 off. I’m tempted just to write a check out for that amount and just call it a day.

But it could cause problems down the road so maybe it is not a good idea?

If I did give in to this temptation, the books may be accurate now but what about the future? Will I have to keep giving into the temptation and taking the easy way out? What are the consequences of such?

Are you being tempted and taking the easy way out or are you drilling down to find the root cause of the problem?
