A surprise to brighten up your day!

Have you ever received something completely random? How did it make you feel?

Maybe you remember going for it months ago but haven’t thought much about it.

Sometimes these “surprises” can help brighten up your day.

Heat and Humidity is out in full force today and my knee is bothering me. I normally wear a brace on my right knee when I ride but this is on my left knee. It’s a pain to walk and I signed up for a 30 mile bike ride tomorrow. That will be interesting!

Earlier this year I had submitted a grant application to teamcatapult.org.  CATAPULT is a 501c3 non-profit entity that aims to CATAPULT physically challenged individuals over adversity and into the world of endurance sports and athletics. I hadn’t heard anything from them so I assumed that I wasn’t chosen.

By the way, don’t ever assume anything! It makes an ass out of u and me. 🙂

Today I received a check from them to help with my paracycling expenses. By the way paracycling is not cheap. At one point my bike was worth several thousand at least and there are numerous costs associated with training and competition. Receiving this check surely brightened my day!
